An open waffle weave in 100% cotton holds a layer of warm air against you and lets the rest escape, so you stay comfortable instead of overheating.
For People Who Sleep Warm
Most blankets solve for one temperature. A synthetic throw traps heat until you push it off at two in the morning; a thin cotton sheet gives you nothing on a cool night.
Waffle weave works differently. The raised grid creates thousands of small air pockets — they insulate when you are still and vent when you move. Cotton carries moisture away rather than holding it against the skin.
What Changes When You Use It
-
Breathes as it warms — the same structure that holds warm air lets excess heat out.
- Light on the body — insulation comes from trapped air, not from weight.
- Absorbent cotton — moves moisture away instead of trapping it.
- Softens with every wash — the weave relaxes and opens over the first few cycles.
- Layers flat — no loft, so it sits cleanly under a duvet in winter or alone in summer.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Will the colour match the photos? Our photographs are taken under neutral studio light and colour-checked against the physical blanket. Screens still vary — Stone reads as a warm grey rather than a cool one, and Butter is a pale, soft yellow rather than a bright one. If the colour is not what you expected, send it back within thirty days.
- Is it warm enough for winter? On its own it is a light, three-season weight. Under a duvet it adds warmth without adding bulk — that is what the weave is good at. It is not a substitute for a winter quilt.
- Which size for a double bed? 180 × 200 covers a standard double. Choose 200 × 230 if you want a full drop over the sides of a king.
- Will it shrink? Expect a small amount of relaxation in the first wash. Wash warm rather than hot and tumble on low.
- Does the weave snag? The waffle grid has no long loops to pull. Keep it away from hook-and-loop fasteners.
- Can I use it as a summer duvet? Yes — this is what most owners use it for. It is breathable enough to sleep under on a warm night.
